Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct an All India Examination for recruitment to the post of Sub-Inspectors in Delhi Police & Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Assistant Sub-Inspectors in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on 22 June 2014 and 21 September 2014 tentatively.
Eligible candidates can apply before 11 April 2014.

Sub-Inspector in CAPFs (Group B Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial):The post carries pay scale of Rs 9300-34800 in Pay Band 2 with Grade Pay of Rs 4200.
Sub Inspector in Delhi Police(Group C by Delhi Police. Assistant Sub-Inspector in CISF) : The post carries pay scale of Rs.9300-34800 in Pay Band 2 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.
Delhi Police. Assistant Sub-Inspector in CISF(Group C): The post carries pay scale of Rs.5200-20200 in PB-2 with Grade Pay of Rs.2800.
Exam will be conducted in two stages comprising of Objective Type Question papers. Only those candidates who qualify Paper I tentatively held on 22 June 2014 can appear in Paper II, tentatively held on 21 September 2014. Paper-II of only such candidates who qualify in PST/PET will be evaluated.

For the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police only:- Male candidates must possess and also carry a valid Driving License for LMV(Motor cycle and Car) on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Standard Tests. Otherwise they will not be allowed to undergo Physical Endurance and Standard Tests.

Selection Procedure: Selection process will have 3 stages.
Stage I: Written Exam (Paper-I)
Stage II: Written Exam (Paper-II). Written Exam for Paper-I will be taken as screening test for Paper-II. Paper-II of only such candidates who qualify in Physical Test will be evaluated.
Stage III: Interview.
