First two phases of polling in Uttar Pradesh ( UP assembly election 2nd phase) are done. During this, there were strong efforts to polarize the communal in the elections, but these efforts did not seem to be successful. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath a day before the second phase of polling (Yogi Adityanath) the Ghazwa-e-Hind (Ghazwa e Hind)Tried to create communal polarization by raising issues like Talibani thinking and Shariat. On the day of voting, he was interviewed on all the TV channels, in which he also presented a clarification on his old statement about the fight of 'Assi vs Bees'. Despite all these efforts, these issues did not show any effect on the voting.
In fact, the first two phases of voting were very important for the BJP in terms of saving its power. A total of 113 assembly seats have voted in the first and second phases. In the last election, BJP had won 91 out of the seats. That is, he had won about one third of the total 312 seats won in the entire state in the elections to be held in these two phases. Most of the 20 districts that have voted in two phases are Muslim-majority districts. In these areas, even those districts where the equation of Jats and Muslims is very strong. Due to the farmers' movement, this equation has become victorious again. BJP wanted to break this equation through communal polarization, it does not seem to be getting success in it.
What did Yogi Adityanath say?
A day before the second phase of polling, Yogi Adityanath raised the issue of Ghazwa-e-Hind and Shariat in a last attempt to polarize. On Sunday evening, he wrote on Twitter, "The 'religious fanatics' of 'Talibani thinking', who dream of Ghazwa-e-Hind, tie this knot… whether they stay or not… India is not according to Shariat, but according to the Constitution. It will work accordingly. Long live Rama!" In his interview on Monday morning, Yogi Adityanath once again raised the issue of eighty versus twenty percent fight. But this time he was seen clarifying. He had said that eighty percent of the people of the state who liked the work of his government in the elections are with him and will vote for him. These include people of all castes and religions. In every case, twenty percent of the people who oppose are always against him, they will vote against him only.
Yogi's reply to Owaisi
It is believed that Yogi has given an answer to Asaduddin Owaisi by raising issues like Shariat and Ghazwa-e-Hind. Raising the issue of hijab on Friday, Owaisi had said in an election rally that wearing hijab is the right of Muslim women and one day a girl wearing hijab will become prime minister in this country. Later, sharing this clip of his speech on Twitter, he wrote, 'Inshallah.' In his speech, Owaisi is seen saying, "If a girl child decides that I will wear the hijab, then Abba-Ammi will also say, beta pahan tujhe kaun rokhta. Will see insha Allah. Will wear hijab, go to college, become a doctor, become a collector, become an SDM, become a businessman and remember one day… I may not be alive. Seeing one day a girl child will become prime minister wearing a hijab."
Owaisi and BJP's jugalbandi
Through this statement, Owaisi is talking about the constitutional right of Muslims to live according to the Shariat. Along with this, by predicting the hijabi girl to become the Prime Minister, he has tried to tell and show that one day India will be ruled by Muslims. Owaisi has been showing the promise of uniting Muslims in UP for a year to get the post of Deputy Chief Minister and Chief Minister with the power of their votes. Now he has talked about a girl wearing a hijab becoming the Prime Minister. A few days ago, Home Minister Amit Shah had shown the fear of Azam Khan's capture of Lucknow's secretariat in the event of the formation of the SP government to keep his core voters connected with him. Now Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that Akhilesh Yadav wants to let Azam Khan come out of jail. They are afraid that they might capture their party. How can a Yogi tolerate Owaisi's statement that a hijabi girl is being placed on the post of Prime Minister? This jugalbandi of Owaisi and BJP is an attempt to polarize the elections.
Yogi had tried before
Before the first phase of polling, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had made statements like 'take out the heat' and 'make UP Shimla in May-June' about Nahid Hasan, the SP-RLD alliance candidate from Kairana. But Jayant Chaudhary had given the answer that we Jats are born hot, what will you remove our heat. To avoid the cold, wrap a blanket and take shelter in your monastery. Yogi's purpose was to instigate Muslims. But Jayat and Akhilesh took the arrow thrown towards the Muslims on their chest. Akhilesh replied that if he comes to power, he will take out and we will take out recruitment when he comes to power. Now Akhilesh is talking about taking out recruitment instead of taking out heat in every rally. This issue is very appealing to the youth troubled by unemployment.
Owaisi's efforts failed
Owaisi's efforts to get votes for Muslims with the help of polarization in the elections are also seen to be unsuccessful. Just before the first phase of polling, Owaisi had earlier tried to capitalize on it by raising the issue of hijab in Uttar Pradesh. But despite all his efforts, the vote in favor of his party did not appear to be falling in Muslim-dominated areas. In many of his meetings, Asaduddin Owaisi made a lot of mention of his telephonic conversation with Muskaan Khan, who has become a symbol of the fight for the right of hijab. He told the smile to the lioness. Now he has even said that one day a girl wearing hijab will become the Prime Minister of the country. The BJP also hoped that if the issue of hijab heats up in Uttar Pradesh, perhaps it will benefit from it. But that doesn't seem to be happening. The air of Owaisi's inflated balloon went out.
What is Ghazwa-e-Hind
Ghazwa-e-Hind is an old word. In this 'Gajwa' meant the war which was fought for the expansion of Islam. That is, 'Gazwa-e-Hind' means such a war, through which the people of the Indian subcontinent can be included in Islam. Experts say that when there was an attempt to expand Islam in India, then this word was used. There are also some hadiths regarding this. But at present it is of no importance. Surprisingly, Gazwa-e-Hind has never been talked about by any Muslim organization in Uttar Pradesh or in the country. In such a situation, the question arises that Yogi's statement that it is addressed to the people? The voters of the seats where voting is to be held in the second phase did not take these statements seriously. So they have no effect on the election.
what is sharia
If it is a secular country. Here the government has no religion but the government does not discriminate against the citizens on the basis of religion. According to the constitution, all citizens of the country have the freedom to live life according to their religious beliefs and religious traditions. Yogi Adityanath is saying that the country will not run by the Shariat but by the Constitution. People are saying that the constitution of the country is going on. Only Muslims follow Sharia. The Constitution has given them this right. Like Hindus walk according to their religious faith and beliefs. Similarly, the Muslim community also runs according to its beliefs and traditions. In 1937, the Shariat Application Act was passed in the British Parliament. Under him Muslims can live their life according to Shariat. Muslims follow Sharia in matters like marriage, divorce, Khula, inheritance, division of ancestral property and adoption of a child.
Overall, it can be said that the efforts of communal polarization in the first and second phase of polling seem to be completely unsuccessful. While talking to voters on all TV channels, reports are telling that people are voting on issues like better education, better and cheaper health services, unemployment. Employment and recruitment in government jobs is a big issue. We are the issues that make the common life better for the people, then caste equations are important for political parties to win their respective victory. This time the effect of religious emotional issues is very less.
