Allahabad HC quashes proceedings against Congress MP in criminal case Imran Pratapgarhi and Ahmad Khan were charged with violating Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code, which states that "disobedience to an order duly promulgated by a public servant" is punishable by a jail sentence. The all-India high court ruled on Tuesday that the criminal proceedings against them should be quashed, because the police had violated the criminal procedure code in filing the complaint.
