Breakthrough in stopping 'space bullets' destroying satellites A UK company working on a way of mapping tiny bits of debris whizzing around the earth's orbit – which could cause billions of pounds of damage to satellites – has made a breakthrough. Space debris the size of a grain of sand has the same energy as a bullet and can destroy a satellite instantly. Until now no technology has been able to monitor the threat. ODIN Space, which is working on a way to track the bits has now demonstrated its technology in orbit after hitching a ride on Elon Musk's recent SpaceX Transporter 8 mission. Hansons Auctioneers says 118-year-old car boot teddy bear could make thousands Derbyshire-based Hansons Auctioneers expects a teddy bear bought on a hunch at a car boot sale will fetch thousands when it goes under the hammer. The 1905 Steiff teddy was spotted at a car boot sale at Monmouth Showground, South Wales, in June. It was bought by Jeanette Davies, 60, and her son Kyle Johns, 29, along with a second bear for a total of £130. Read the story here.
