Allahabad High Court has just quashes the maximum age limit related to Age Limit for CLAT-2015 the maximum age limit of 20 years for appearing in Common Law Admission Test-2015 (CLAT) for admission to five-year integrated LLB course. Thousands of students across the country stand to benefit by the ruling.

This year CLAT is being organized by Dr Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University (RMLNLU), Lucknow, for admission to 16 national law schools.

The last date for forms is March 31 and the entrance exam is scheduled for May 10. 

The CLAT 2015 eligibility criteria for candidates (Indian Nationals only) seeking admission through CLAT-2015 in Undergraduate Courses shall be as per the following:
  1. The candidate by 1st July 2015 must not have attained the age of:
    1. Twenty (20) years in case of General/OBC/Persons with Disability (PWD) and Other category candidates, and
    2. Twenty Two (22) years in case of SC/ST category candidates.
  2. As regards minimum percentage of marks in qualifying examination (i.e. 10+2), the candidates must have secured:
    1. Forty five percent (45%) marks in case belongs to General/OBC/PWD and other category, and
    2. Forty Percent (40%) marks in case belongs to SC/ST category.
  3. The result of qualifying examination (i.e. 10+2) shall be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission.
  4. Those appearing in qualifying examination in March/April 2015 are also eligible to apply. No provisional admission shall be provided to those candidates who are not submitting the result of the qualifying examination at the time of admission/within the timeframe prescribed by the respective Universities/ Institutes.
The eligibility criteria for candidates (Indian Nationals only) seeking admission through CLAT-2015 in Postgraduate Courses shall be as per the following:

  1. As regards minimum percentage of marks in qualifying examination (i.e., LL.B./Five-Year Integrated LL.B./any other equivalent examination), the candidates must have:
    1. Fifty five Percent (55%) marks in case belongs to General/OBC/PWD and other category, and
    2. Fifty Percent (50%) marks in case belongs to SC/ST category.
  2. The result of qualifying examination shall be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission failing which the candidate shall be ineligible for admission to the Course.
  3. Those appearing in qualifying examination in March/April 2015 are also eligible to apply. No provisional admission shall be provided to those candidates who are not submitting the result of the qualifying examination at the time of admission/within the timeframe prescribed by the respective Universities/ Institutes.
