Home Minister Amit Shah held a meeting on Jammu and Kashmir, reviewed the latest situation and development works

Earlier on Saturday, Jammu and Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha had said that no one can oppose India or the tricolor in Jammu and Kashmir and with the cooperation of the Center, we are working towards ending the ecosystem of terrorism in the Union Territory.

In the meeting, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha (Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha,Senior officials of the Government of India, including National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Jammu and Kashmir administration and the Army attended. Amit Shah lauded the efforts of the security agencies, which have brought down terror incidents in Jammu and Kashmir in the last few years. Terrorist incidents have come down from 417 in 2018 to 229 in 2021, while the number of martyred personnel of security forces has come down from 91 in 2018 to 42 in 2021. The Home Minister directed to further strengthen the security grid so that cross-border infiltration is zero and terrorism can be eradicated.

Earlier on Saturday, Jammu and Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha had said that no one can oppose India or the tricolor in Jammu and Kashmir and with the cooperation of the Center, we are working towards ending the ecosystem of terrorism in the Union Territory. While addressing a press conference in Jammu, the Lieutenant Governor had also said that he also announced to increase the ex-gratia amount from Rs.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that those who try to harm the interests of the country will be dealt with strictly. He said that now there is no place in Jammu and Kashmir to protest against India or the national flag. Whoever tries to raise an objection will be dealt with strictly as per the Constitution. He said there has been a significant decline in terrorist activities and efforts are on to provide a conducive environment for the people of the Union Territory.

'Many foreign terrorists killed in counter-terrorism operation in last two and a half months'

The Lieutenant Governor said that many foreign terrorists have been killed in the operation against terrorism in the last two and a half months. I have said many times that it is an ecosystem. Terrorists are killing innocents or throwing grenades at the behest of someone. Somebody is providing them with material and is misleading and provoking them. He said that the campaign against terrorists is going on, efforts are also being made to control and reduce terrorist recruitment and to provide employment to the youth. We are working to destroy the entire ecosystem of terrorism.
