Yogi Adityanath was today unanimously elected as the leader of the legislature party. He will take oath tomorrow in a mega ceremony attended by PM Narendra Modi, top BJP leaders and leading industrialists, including Mukesh Ambani. The BJP top brass gave final touches to Yogi's team taking into account a variety of factors like caste, age and regional balance.

Mamata Banerjee visited the village in Birbhum where 8 people were burnt alive in a suspected fallout of the murder of a ruling TMC panchayat official. She promised her government would hunt down the culprits. A TMC block president is among those arrested in the case.
