Vidisha boy rescued from borewell, dies
After a rescue operation lasting 24 hours, a 7-year-old kid who had fallen into a 60-feet deep borewell was rescued on Wednesday morning, but the kid had lost his battle for life. An FIR was registered against four people for leaving the borewell open, which led to the boy's death. The child, identified as Lokesh Ahirwar, 7, fell into the borewell while he was playing in a farm on Tuesday morning. He got stuck at around 43 feet. Rescue operations were soon started by SDERF and NDRF personnel and the district collector Vidisha, Uma Shankar Bhargav, local SDM, additional SP Vidisha Sameer Yadav supervised the operations.
