The last date for submission of applications is February 15. Anil Chaudhary said that Congress workers were demanding MCD election form. One week time has been given to submit the form. Anil Chaudhary said that the Congress will select the candidates for the MCD elections at the earliest, so that they can get time to campaign.
Election on 272 wards of three municipal corporations
Let us inform that elections are likely to be held in April for 272 wards of the three municipal corporations of Delhi. In the last election, BJP had won. The BJP won 181 out of 272 wards but returned to power in all three municipal corporations. AAP had won only 49 seats. On the other hand, Congress could win only 31 wards. This election, Congress has already geared up. Only a few days are left for the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections. The Aam Aadmi Party does not want to leave any stone unturned to capture the municipal corporations. At the same time, Congress also does not want to be behind in this matter.
MCD divided into three parts in 2012
Let us inform that in 2012, MCD was divided into three parts. It was divided into East, North and South municipal corporations. There are 104-104 seats in NDMC and SDMC. There are 64 councilors in EDMC.
